More about the e.p.t.® Digital Ovulation Test
Looking for the clearest choice in ovulation detection? Look no further than the e.p.t® Numeric Digital Ovulation Test. Our test is over 99% accurate in detecting LH surge in laboratory studies. You can begin monitoring and recording your LH levels several days prior to the midpoint of your menstrual cycle. This will provide you with the shape and pattern of your own LH curve. This may improve timing with respect to intentional attempts at conception.
More about the e.p.t.®
e.p.t.® was the first to bring pregnancy tests to the home by inventing the first ever "Home Pregnancy Test" technology. In short, e.p.t® created the standard that all pregnancy tests follow today.
More about Luteinizing Hormone
Luteinizing Hormone, also known as LH is produced in the pituitary gland of the body and plays a major role in ovulation. Normally, LH is secreted at very low levels, but begins to change and climb upward around the mid-point in a woman's monthly cycle.
Near the mid-point of their typical cycle, most women experience a rapid surge in LH which causes the egg to be released from the ovary. This process is called ovulation and is the time when a woman is most fertile. In most cases, when LH levels increase rapidly, ovulation is likely to occur within one to two days. Once the egg is released, it is viable for approximately 12 to 24 hours. Planning sexual intercourse right before and throughout one's ovulation window, is integral for those pursuing natural conception.
e.p.t.® Digital Ovulation Test
The clearest choice in ovulation detection
e.p.t.® Digital Ovulation Test
The e.p.t.® Digital Ovulation Test's unique technology helps you identify your most opportune window for conception by:
- Detecting the Luteinizing Hormone (LH) levels which are always present in your urine.
- Identifying the increase or "surge" in your LH level which triggers ovulation (the release of the egg from your ovary). Measuring your LH level on a numeric basis, in addition to using basic (YES+/NO-) ovulation testing technology, may provide a clearer understanding of your LH levels and the timing of your LH surge, LH peak and/or ovulation window.
You should have intercourse at any time during the 12 to 72 hours after your LH surge is detected to maximize your chances of becoming pregnant. This is the most fertile time of your cycle. Multiple sessions of intercourse during this time may also improve your chances for fertilization.
INCLUDES: 1 Digital Reader, 10 - Cartridges
NOTE: LH levels fluctuate daily and vary from woman to woman. A Luteinizing Hormone (LH) surge and ovulation may not occur in all cycles.
How to Read Test
After approximately 3 minutes, the display screen will show your result on the digital reader.
You will receive a "NO-" result from an LH value of ≤29 mIU/mL. The "NO-" result will remain on the display screen for approximately 10 minutes.
You will receive a "YES+" result from an LH range of ≥30 mIU/mL up to a value of 100 mIU/mL. Once you receive a "YES+" you will begin approaching your most fertile time and could ovulate within the next 24-36 hours.
Once your receive a "YES+" you should have intercourse at any time during 72 hours to maximize your chances of becoming pregnant.
The "YES+" result will remain on the display screen for approximately 60 minutes.
More On Your Results
In addition to your YES+ or NO- result, you will also see a numeric value displayed on the display screen of the digital reader. Recording and tracking your numeric values can provide insight on the range of one's LH Surge, peak and length of your ovulation window.
Users should defer to YES+ or NO- results at all times, using LH values displayed as supplemental information only.
Step 1: When You Are Ready to Test
Remove 1 test cartridge from its foil pouch.
Use the test cartridge within 1 hour after opening foil pouch.
